Boyfriend charged after Atlanta woman found dismembered

Authorities charged the boyfriend of an Atlanta woman with murder after her dismembered remains were discovered in a Chicago-area river.

Paul Meyers of Chicago was denied bond Friday. His brother, Arronis Jackson, also faces charges alleging he helped dispose of the body.

Twenty-eight-year-old Laneesha Miller of Atlanta was last seen in Chicago in June. Divers found her remains in the Calumet River Thursday.

Meyers struck the woman in the head with a hammer and strangled her during a fight. He dismembered the body and placed her remains in different suitcases before dumping her in the river.
