Fire causes extensive damage to Second City theater offices

Two firefighters and one other person have been injured in a fire in a building that houses the offices of Chicago's famed Second City theater company.

A Fire Department spokesman says the fire apparently started in the kitchen of a restaurant next to the theater and spread through vents to the roof and caused extensive damages to the offices.

The fire did not reach the theater, but shows and classes for the day have been canceled.

There was no immediate information about the extent of the injuries suffered by the firefighters and the third person.

Second City theater launched the careers of scores of comedians and actors including John Belushi, Tina Fey, and Bill Murray
