A jury could decide today how much a defunct Chicago grocery chain owes retired Bulls legend Michael Jordan.
Closing arguments are expected to begin around 9 this morning at the Dirksen Federal Building in Chicago. After that, jurors will deliberate to decide about damages.
The six-time NBA champion is seeking at least 10 million dollars from Dominick’s Finer Foods, which closed two years ago.
M J sued Dominick’s for using his name and likeness in a 2009 steak ad. Experts testified Jordan’s name is worth at least 10 million bucks.
Dominick’s own expert said the actual figure is much, much lower. Jordan himself took the stand this week. He said the grocery chain misused his likeness. And, he would not have approved the ad.
