QUINCY, Ill. (AP) - Cleanup of storm-damaged trees continues in the western Illinois city of Quincy where a park district official says workers may be at it for months. High winds during a mid-July storm brought down large trees throughout the city, including dozens of major trees in city parks.

Quincy Park District Executive Director Rome Frericks says four or five employees are working full time on the cleanup. All the parks are open, but some roads still are blocked by debris nearly a month after the storm. Frericks says it may be snowing before the parks are back to normal. Park district records show the city's South Park lost 73 major trees. Indian Mounds Park lost 39 and Madison Park lost 27.
