Presidential portrait exhibit coming to Springfield

Portraits of every president from George Washington to Barack Obama will go on display later this month at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield.

The exhibit is called "American Presidents: Life Portraits" and will be on display from May 21 through July 7.   North Carolina painter and sculptor Chas Fagan painted the portraits.

According to the Lincoln Library, it is the only complete collection of American presidential oil portraits by one artist.

The exhibit will include photographs from the White House Historical Association.

Visitors will be able to hear the voice of every president beginning with Theodore Roosevelt, and watch biographical videos of each president on their smartphones.
