Anti-police brutality theme of Chicago May Day protests

Activists in Chicago gathered for May 1 marches and rallies about issues including immigrant rights, anti-capitalism and police brutality.

About two dozen children and adults marched around a fountain on Chicago's West Side.  Many carried signs with slogans such as "Police Brutality Must Stop."

Protesters say their children have been asking questions about Freddie Gray's death in Baltimore, and the deaths of people who were fatally shot by police in Chicago.

Another Chicago march is planned in the afternoon to Cook County jail to call for a moratorium against deportations.
