IL proposal would ban drone hunting, fishing

A proposal to ban hunting and fishing with drones is an effort to stay ahead of technology, according to the legislation's sponsor. Senator Julie Morrison, a Democrat from Deerfield, says doesn't know of a situation where has been done in Illinois.

"Hunting is one area that some states have already come up with some regulation on how they can be used or not used. This is just an attempt to get ahead of a problem that could come up in Illinois."

Hunters have mixed reactions to drones. Some don' like them because they feel it gives the hunter an unfair advantage. Others say it is just another type of surveillance.
