When the North American Auto Show opened this week in Detroit, there was a renewed emphasis on electric vehicles. Chevrolet introduced the next generation Volt and a new smaller plug-in electric called the Bolt. The Lemont-based Argonne National Lab’s Center for Transportation Research is working to improve battery technology. Illinois Public Radio’s Brian O’Keefe spoke recently with Center Director Don Hillebrand. He says there may be too much choice in the market today:
