  • Ben de la Cruz is an award-winning documentary video producer and multimedia journalist. He is currently a senior visuals editor. In addition to overseeing the multimedia coverage of NPR's global health and development, his responsibilities include working on news products for emerging platforms including Amazon's and Google's smart screens. He is also part of a team developing a new way of thinking about how NPR can collaborate and engage with our audience as well as photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, animators, and graphic designers to build new visual storytelling avenues on NPR's website, social media platforms, and through live events.
  • Joey is a lifelong McLean County resident and a 2004 graduate of Illinois State University. Joey was active in his years as an ISU Redbird working for both the student run radio and television stations on campus. He also served as the first Communication lifestyle Resident Assistant in the department of University Housing. Joey started his post college career at Peoria's WTVP Television working in various roles as a production assistant, editor and member of the mobile production crew. After five years at WTVP, Joey went on to work in freelance production roles throughout Central Illinois. He later accepted a more permanent role as the Communication & Technology Director at the LeRoy Christian Church in his hometown of Le Roy, IL. Joey served several roles under that title including managing audio/visual support, supervising the production crew, creating weekly newsletters as well as managing the church's social media platforms and website. After 8 years, Joey stepped down from that role to seek out a change in his professional environment which led him back to public media. Joey is happy to be returning to his roots in public broadcasting and serving the communities of central Illinois. Joey is an avid Cubs and ISU Redbird sports fan and he can be seen on the country music concert trail in his spare time. He currently resides in LeRoy and enjoys traveling as well as spending quality time with his family and friends.

  • Carmel Wroth is a senior health editor for NPR's Science Desk, where she guides digital strategy for the health team and conceives and edits digital-first, enterprise stories and packages.
  • Robin Hilton is a producer and co-host of the popular NPR Music show All Songs Considered.
  • Victoria Whitley-Berry is a director and producer for Morning Edition. They also briefly helped to produce NPR's history podcast Throughline. They joined NPR in 2016 as an intern for All Things Considered on the weekend. Born and raised in Tallahassee, Fla., Whitley-Berry has a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from Texas Christian University.
