A Great Day for Gordon Parks
Gordon Parks is the legendary African-American photographer known for documenting the lives of the poor, and for being the first black staff photographer for Life magazine. North Carolina's electricity was knocked out when an ice storm that hit the state on Wednesday. Dozens of people have been killed by the snow and ice that came with the storm. National Guardsmen, local police and utility workers have been working to restore power to more than a million people.
