Peoria police have made an arrest in a Wednesday gun store burglary.

Corey Brooks, 29, was arrested during a traffic stop on Wednesday evening after officers found him hiding in the back of the vehicle. Police said he stole a number of firearms from Pinnacle Guns and Ammo on Main Street.

Two guns were recovered during a canvass of the scene. A third was recovered in the vehicle in which Brooks was found.

Investigators are looking for the other stolen firearms.

Brooks is being held in the Peoria County Jail on a federal hold. Federal charges are expected.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Peoria police.
