On this week’s episode of Out and About, Dr. Mae Gilliland of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois speaks with artist Qingjun Huang, joined by translator Liu Yang, about the exhibition "In Her Silence, God" now on display at The Foster Gallery in Peoria.

This deeply personal collaboration features photographs by Huang overlaid with biblical text meticulously hand-copied by his 81-year-old mother, Shirong Cong. Together, their work explores themes of love, reconnection, and faith — inviting viewers to reflect on the strength and devotion found in their bond.

Mae Gilliland Wright is the host of WCBU's Out & About.
