On this week's episode of Out and About, Dr. Mae Gilliland of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois chats with Maestro George Stelluto of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra about the final concert of their 127th season, "Star Crossed Letters."

Stelluto discusses how this concert brings to life the tangled emotions between Clara Schumann, Robert Schumann, and Johannes Brahms through their music and letters. Pianist Derek Wang joins the PSO for Brahms’ sweeping Piano Concerto No. 2 — the heart of a program Stelluto says is filled with passion, heartbreak, and timeless artistry. This one-of-a-kind performance is Friday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Peoria Civic Center Prairie Home Alliance Theater.

Mae Gilliland Wright is the host of WCBU's Out & About.
