Celebrating film and creativity in the River City

In this episode of Out and About, Dr. Mae Gilliland of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois speaks with Doug Leunig, co-founder of Big Picture Peoria, about the upcoming Big Picture Peoria Film Festival happening Nov. 22-23.

The festival, hosted at three prominent Peoria venues — including the Giant Screen Theatre at Peoria Riverfront Museum — promises an immersive experience, complemented by a panel discussion at Distillery Labs with notable speakers and a lively after party to celebrate the creative community. As Doug explains, the festival offers more than just screenings; it’s a celebration of regional creativity and a chance for attendees to connect, collaborate and be inspired by the power of storytelling.

The festival is a ticketed event. Find links to purchase your tickets to one or all the activities below.
