Renowned artist Alfred Conteh unveils Peoria portrait

On this week's episode of Out and About, Dr. Mae Gilliland Wright of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois talks with nationally renowned artist Alfred Conteh about the unveiling of his new painting The Unseen Majority. The showing will be at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Sunday, June 9.

It is his first piece based on a subject outside of his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia inspired by a Peoria family and the concepts of family ties and fatherhood. Joining Conteh in the studio is Everley Davis, assistant curator and community engagement coordinator at the museum. The events taking place on June 9 are free to attend.
