On this week's episode of Out and About, Dr. Mae Gilliland Wright of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois chats with Dr. John Jost about Peoria's annual sing-it-yourself Messiah, taking place Sunday, December 10 at First Federated Church.
The audience is invited to sing with the orchestra on the choruses, while soprano Courtney Huffman Frye from Bradley University, mezzo-soprano Lily Thompson from Illinois State University, tenor Jeffrey Brich from University of Northern Iowa, and bass John Hines, also from University of Northern Iowa, will sing the solos. The event is free to the public.
