Community Children's Theatre presents 'Annie Jr.' with cast of 75 Central Illinois youth

On this week’s episode of Out and About, Director Mary Ellen Ulrich and student performer Lily Carmack join host Jenn Gordon to talk about Community Children’s Theatre’s production of "Annie Jr."

Based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, with a beloved book and score by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, "Annie Jr." features everyone’s favorite little redhead in her very first adventure. Production staff includes Director Mary Ellen Ulrich, Music Director Amanda Connon, and Choreographer Gillian Cramer. Performances take place at Peoria Players Theatre from December 9-11. Tickets are $18 for reserved seats and $12 for children ages 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased at cctil.booktix.com or in person one hour before each performance (if not sold out).

Jenn Gordon is executive director of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois. She hosts Out & About every week on WCBU.
Jody Holtz is WCBU's assistant program and development director, All Things Considered host, as well as the producer of WCBU’s arts and culture podcast Out and About.
