On this week’s episode of Out and About, David Commanday of the Heartland Festival Orchestra joins Jenn Gordon to talk about “Blue Sky," the upcoming concert by the Heartland Festival Orchestra featuring virtuoso violinist and fiddler Tessa Lark.
Tessa’s world premiere performance and recording of “Sky," Michael Torke’s bluegrass-inspired violin concerto, won widespread acclaim and a Grammy nomination in 2019. This performance marks the regional premiere of this piece.
