UPDATED 5:20 p.m. | A 45-year-old Peoria Heights woman was found dead after a house fire late Wednesday, authorities said.

The fire broke out at around 11:33 p.m. Wednesday at 3725 N. Illinois Ave., the Peoria Heights Fire Department said on Facebook.

It took about 20 minutes to get the fire under control. Fire crews found Jennifer A. Warwick in a main-level bedroom inside the home. Warwick was pronounced dead at the scene. She suffered severe smoke inhalation and extensive burns throughout her body, said Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood.

Another occupant of the home escaped without injury, authorities said.

The fire was contained to the home, with heavy fire damage to one of the bedrooms.

The State Fire Marshal's Office and State Police are investigating.
