A Peoria man is dead after he was struck by a motorcycle in Limestone Township early Saturday morning.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said 49-year-old Allen Hulin was struck by the vehicle when he stumbled out into the roadway for unknown reasons in the 7400 block of West Plank Rd. around 12:30 a.m.

Harwood said Hulin likely died instantly from severe head trauma and other blunt force injuries. A toxicology test is pending.

Peoria County Sheriff Brian Asbell said alcohol appears to be a factor in the accident.

The motorcycle rider was hospitalized with severe injuries.
