Par-A-Dice Launches Online Sports Betting

Tim Shelley / Peoria Public Radio

The Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino has launched an online sportsbook in conjunction with FanDuel.

Boyd Gaming, the parent company of the East Peoria casino, announced the launch Monday. The sportsbook can be accessed online or via a mobile app.

"Given the tremendous success of our existing FanDuel Sportsbooks, we are confident that the FanDuel Par-A-Dice Sportsbook will quickly become Illinois sports bettors' mobile app of choice," said Boyd Gaming CEO Keith Smith in a statement. "We are excited for the opportunity to offer both mobile and retail sports betting in one of the most populous states in the country, as we continue to expand our strategic partnership with FanDuel Group."

Pending regulatory approval, the Par-A-Dice will also host a retail sports betting location on-site for professional football, hockey, baseball, basketball, and other sports.

The Illinois Gaming Board began approving sports betting licenses this year, after the General Assembly took action following a 2018 U.S. Supreme Court decision.
