A Norwood teenager is dead after a rollover accident on Cameron Lane early Thursday morning.
Emergency responders were called to the 600 block of S. Cameron around 2:30 a.m. on a report of a rolled vehicle potentially on fire.
Responders on scene found a fully engulfed Ford Ranger in a ditch.
The driver, Lucas Smith, 16, was headed north on Cameron Lane when his truck left the road and struck a drainage ditch. The truck rolled, landed on its roof, and caught on fire.
Smith was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to OSF Saint Francis in critical condition. He died just after 6 p.m. on Friday.
Toxicology is pending. There will be no autopsy.
