Delavan Cannabis Cultivation Center Approved for Recreational Growing

Jeff Smudde / WGLT

The Illinois Department of Agriculture has approved Revolution Global's Delavan cultivation center to grow recreational cannabis.

The 75,000 square foot facility currently grows medical cannabis. The company is doubling its footprint in Delavan as it expands its capacity to meet recreational demand.

There are now 12 cultivation facilities licensed to grow recreational marijuana in Illinois.

Recreational cannabis becomes legal in Illinois on Jan. 1.
