A 20-year-old Peoria man faces murder charges in connection with the death of his 6-month-old daughter.
The baby died Sept. 8 after she was found not breathing at a house on South Matthew Street. Police arrested Kyle Purser on Nov. 12 after an investigation led authorities to believe he was responsible.
Purser was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
This is the city's 21st homicide of 2019.
