Peoria Public Schools Board of Education President Dan Adler is declining to run for another term.
Adler has served on the board since July 2015.
Adler said he's confident in Superintendent Dr. Sharon Desmoulin-Kherat's leadership of the district. He said he feels it's time to step down and pass on the torch to new leadership so he can spend more time with his family.
He works as an engineer at Caterpillar.
Adler represents District 3 on the school board. Anyone looking to fill the seat must submit their nominating petitions between Oct. 28 and Nov. 4.
