A Peoria man drowned Saturday at the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Sean T. Burgess, 23, was last seen Saturday afternoon floating on a mat watching the shootout. At some point, he entered the water. His group reported him missing.
The race was suspended as emergency responders and a dive team searched the lake.
Burgess' body was found shortly before 11 p.m.
