A Peoria man has died after he was struck by a falling tree limb at his Central Peoria home on Sunday.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Nathaniel Peck, 39, was found lying in his yard unresponsive in the 4200 block of N. Dayton around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. A 40-foot long tree limb was found lying near Peck.
Harwood said a strong storm and winds likely caused the limb to fall.
Peck was pronounced dead around 5:30 p.m. Harwood said he suffered severe head trauma.
There will be no autopsy.
