Authorities continue to search for one of two suspects accused of stealing scores of guns in central Illinois. A criminal complaint against 19-year-old Miray Smith was unsealed Friday in U.S. District Court in Peoria.
Smith and 28 year-old Keith L. Winters are accused of stealing more than 100 guns from stores in Monmouth and Galesburg. Peoria police and ATF took Winters into custody Sunday in the 2000 block of West Forrest Hill. He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
Smith remains at large. Anyone with information on Smith’s location is urged to call the Peoria Police Department or CrimeStoppers anonymously.
