The Peoria RiverFront Market kicks off its 2019 season Saturday in a temporary location due to flooding. Organizers say the market will open at 8:00 a.m. in the Caterpillar parking lot at the corner of SW Water and Hamilton streets. It will remain in this temporary location on May 25.
The market expects to return to its usual place in the 100 block of Water Street June 1. The RiverFront Market opened in 2004. It features a wide variety of Illinois-grown food along with handmade arts and crafts. Organizers expect nearly 90 vendors this Saturday.
The RiverFront Market will be open every Saturday morning through the end of September.
