Bradley University is honoring its national award-winning speech team Friday.
The team won the National Forensic Association tournament in California this week. It secured the top spot two weeks ago at the American Forensics Association contest.
The celebration begins at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Caterpillar Global Communications Center on the Bradley campus. Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis and Bradley President Gary Roberts will join team champions and alumni on the building’s front lawn. The event will move indoors in case of bad weather.
Bradley’s speech team is ranked the country’s best, having secured 43 national team championships since 1978.
