PIA's Record-setting Streak Continues

Peoria Public Radio

Peoria International Airport’s record-setting passenger count continues.

General Wayne A. Downing officials say 64,649 passengers traveled through the airport last month. That’s just 135 travelers short of the airport’s all-time monthly record set last June.

Director of Airport Operations Gene Olson says multiple daily flight options to some of the nation’s busiest airports make Peoria a great option for both business and leisure passengers.

PIA has set monthly passenger records in eight of the past 12 months. 2018 was the busiest ever with more than 672-thousand total passengers traveling through the facility.
