Winter Weather Advisory Posted, Snow and Ice Expected

Another round of winter weather is expected to make the Thursday evening commute difficult.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of central Illinois through 10:00 a.m. Friday. This includes Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties.

The National Weather Service says mixed precipitation could result in a light glaze of ice and up to two inches of snow. The heaviest snowfall is expected during day. Freezing drizzle is possible west of I-55 this evening through early Friday.

Motorists can expect slick roads and restricted visibility. Forecasters say hazardous driving conditions will affect the Thursday evening commute, and could linger through drivetime Friday morning.
