Peoria Police Release Armed Robbery Images

Peoria police are asking the public to help identify two men who robbed a Verizon store Friday.

Officials say two black males entered the store at 2521 West War Memorial Drive just before 7:30 p.m. One displayed a handgun. Both wore blue surgical gloves and white medical masks.

The subjects stole money and an undisclosed number of cell phones.

Police say the two fled in a white, Mercedes-Benz E-Class occupied by a black male driver and a black female passenger. No injuries were reported, although officers say the suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

  The Peoria Police Department released photos of the suspects Tuesday night.

Anyone with information on the suspects’ identity is urged to call the police department at 309-673-4521 or CrimeStoppers at 309-673-9000.
