The city of Peoria will unveil its Western Avenue improvement project next month.
A public meeting on the plan is scheduled for March 7, at 6:00 p.m. at the Frank Campbell Community Center on South Merriman Street.
The project involves updates to Western Avenue between Adams Street and Howett Street.
City officials say the plan includes roadway reconstruction, a bike lane addition, stormwater drainage and improved lighting.
The presentation will include the tentative construction schedule and necessary right-of-way acquisition.
