Peoria Police Department

The Peoria Police Department is seeking the public’s help in solving Michael Shipley’s murder.

The 30-year-old Shipley was found dead February 6 inside his home in the 900 block of Thrush Street. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says a single gunshot wound killed him.

Wednesday, members of the police department, local Crime Stoppers and the Peoria Community Against Violence searched for clues as they canvassed an area near Thrush and Broadway.

A $5 thousand dollar reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment is available.

Anyone with information regarding Michael Shipley’s death is urged to call the Peoria Police Department at 309-673-4521. Tips can also be given anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 309-673-9000.
