The State Fire Marshall and Tazewell County authorities continue to investigate a deadly rural Hopedale house fire.
56-year-old Lisa M. Lenz died Sunday following an early morning fire at 8884 Valley Road.
The Hopedale Fire Department was called to the address just after 1:45 a.m., and found the home fully engulfed. Crews battled the fire for several hours.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley says Lenz’s remains were recovered after the blaze was extinguished. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
