Peoria Public Works Director Resigns

The City of Peoria is looking for a new public works director. Scott Reeise has resigned as he considers a new direction for his career, according to city manager Patrick Urich.

Reeise has been with the city since 2004, becoming public works director in August of 2016. Urich calls the resignation a loss for the city, saying Reeise is an excellent communicator.

Reeise is taking vacation time through the end of the year, when his resignation becomes effective. He is, however, helping with several city projects prior to his resignation date.

City engineer Bill Lewis is acting public works director until a new director is named.
