The 36-year-old Peoria man who was killed on Monday at North Sand and 3rd Streets was shot five times.

The autopsy report says Daryl D. Keller likely died instantly from a significant hemorrhage.

Police continue to investigate the shooting that happened during the noon hour, in broad daylight on a fairly well-traveled street corner.

Keller serves as the city’s 18-criminal-homicide of the year. That does not include four additional deaths ruled as self-defense or otherwise justifiable.
