A semi rollover accident on the interstate in Tazewell County Thursday around 4:00 p.m. took the life of the driver.
The unidentified man was traveling alone when the accident happened at the exit ramp 101, the split of I-74 westbound to I-155 southbound.
Tazewell County Coroner Brian Foley says the semi was the only vehicle involved and the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Illinois State Police and the County Coroner’s office are investigating the cause of the accident.
Foley says an autopsy is planned Friday afternoon and he will release the identity of the driver with that information.
