Peoria Public Schools is implementing its heat schedule Tuesday through Thursday.
District officials say all schools will dismiss an hour early due to this week’s high temperatures.
This means all tier one schools will end at 1:30 p.m. Tier two schools will dismiss at 2:30 p.m.
The regular Peoria Public Schools schedule resumes Friday.
Temperatures are forecast to be in the upper-80s or low-90s through Thursday across Central Illinois. Showers with highs in the 70s are forecast Friday.
