A 28-year old man has been arrested and is charged with the stabbing death of William Edwards.
The Peoria Heights man died between Friday and Sunday. His body was found about 8:15 p.m. Sunday in the detached garage where he often stayed in the 4000 block of North Columbus Street around. The 62-year-old suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest and blunt force trauma.
Peoria Police says Thurmen Ellis was arrested without incident Thursday about 10:00 a.m. in the 200 block of North East Glen Oak. He is charged with first-degree murder.
