Peoria Election Commission to Move Next Month

Peoria Public Radio

The Peoria City/County Election Commission is preparing to move next month. The office on South West Adams is moving to a new location on Brandywine Drive.

The new location has off-street parking and is next to a CityLink bus stop. It will be the primary early voting location this fall.

Commission Executive Director Tom Bride says it will take nearly two-days to move within the first two weeks of September. He adds election commission services will not be interrupted during that time.

The commission was not able to transfer the existing phone number to the new offices. Bride says the current number will offer a recording with the number for the new office.
