Five Face Felony Charges for 2015 Havana Waterfowl Hunt

Five central Illinois men are facing charges they violated federal waterfowl hunting laws in Fulton County.  Rick Hamm of Chillicothe is charged in connection with a guided waterfowl hunt southwest of Havana during the December 2015 regular hunting season. Zachary Entwistle of Morris, Trent Gustafson of Chillicothe, James Schupp of Wyoming and J. Weston Schupp of Bradford were also indicted.

 

The five face felony charges of conspiracy and violating the Lacey Act, and misdemeanor charges for the use of an electronic caller and hunting over bait during the regular waterfowl season. Hamm solely faces an additional  misdemeanor charge for directing the placement of bait.

 

All five are due to be arraigned in US District Court in Peoria on May 3rd.
