Bradley Student Among Trio Killed Saturday Night in Peoria

A Bradley University student was one of the two people shot and killed early Sunday morning. It's one of two deadly shootings in Peoria separated by about 5 hours. The Peoria County coroner identified the Bradley student as 18 year-old pre-med major NasjayMurry from Chicago.

 

She was shot at the same time 22 year-old Anthony Polnitz was shot and killed and another female Bradley student was injured. Polnitz lived at 6516 N. University Street.

 

Peoria Police were called to the 1800 block of Bradley Avenue just off Western about 1:45 a.m. where a large number of people were reportedly fleeing the house. Murry and Polnitz were pronounced dead about 3:30 a.m.

Anthony Polnitz, 22, of 6516 N. University was shot about 1:40 a.m. Sunday and was pronounced deceased at 3:30 a.m.

A third man, 24 year-old John W. Bell III was shot and killed Saturday about 9:15 p.m. in the 2700 block of W. Wyoming. Bell lived at 2737 W. Trewyn in Peoria.

 

Peoria Police continue investigating the murders which are not considered related. Results of the autopsies for the trio are expected Monday.
