Bradley PD: No Confidence in Chief

Bradley University

The Bradley University Police Officer’s union has voted no confidence in Chief Brian Joschko. The Police benevolent says it’s the third time the union has taken such an overwhelming-majority vote and they have lost all trust and faith in Chief Joschko’s ability to lead the department.

In a letter to Bradley President Gary Roberts the union thanks him for creating a ‘morale committee’ but says those efforts were not productive, and it was disbanded. The union says Joschko has “fostered an atmosphere of hostility, retaliation and unethical behavior.” It says he has a pattern and practice of inequitable treatment of department personnel and their concerns have repeatedly gone unheeded.

Bradley University Spokeswoman Renee Charles says the administration does not comment on personnel issues. But BUPD continues to operate and is keeping the campus safe.

WCBU is located on the campus and is a service of Bradley University.
