17th District Congresswoman Cheri Bustos toured Keystone Steel and Wire in Bartonville Friday.

The Rock Island Democrat sits on the transportation and agriculture committees. She says doing her “Cheri on Shift” tour and work at Keystone helps her to be more informed of the needs of working people in her district.

She says everything she learned at Keystone will help her efforts on the transportation and farm bills. “I’ll be at the negotiating table and I want to make sure we get something passed that will fix our roads and bridges and our locks and dams and improve our airports because it has a direct impact at a place like this, Keystone.”

Bustos says Keystone’s products also have a direct relationship with farms all over America. She says passing the transportation and farm bills will also mean good things for jobs and the economy in her district.
