Humana’s Community Center in Peoria has a new home. The new community location is in the Westlake Shopping Center behind Five Guys and next door to the UPS store. A robust crowd turned out for the ribbon cutting and grand open celebration.

State Representative Ryan Spain offered the office congratulations on the new centralized location.

People gathered for the grand opening celebration of the new Humana facility. It included a ribbon cutting, food from The Fresh Market and a string quartet.

"This is such an innovative example of where we need to go in health care. It’s really a testament to Humana’s commitment to population health and the greater organization that you are. So we couldn’t be happier to host this new location right in the center of Peoria." Spain said.

Humana staff chose the location in part for its ease of access from the interstate.

The community location offers fitness classes, cooking demonstrations, health and wellness seminars and social activities, most of which are open to the community.
