Sen. Koehler Backs Kwame Raoul for Illinois AG

State Senator Dave Koehler says he’s supporting fellow Senator Kwame Raoul for Illinois Attorney General.

Raoul says Koehler’s endorsement is important to him because of the Peoria lawmakers leadership on issues that impact working families as well as health care.

“Those are two important points that I raise in my campaign statewide and policy points that I’ve committed myself too over the last 13-years and wish to emphasize as the state’s next attorney general.”

Raoul is known as an effective,  hard working, negotiator in the Illinois Senate. He also has the endorsement of the Cook County Democratic Party.

Senator Koehler says Raoul has the experience to move into the Office without missing a beat when Attorney General Lisa Madigan turns over the key. The first woman elected Attorney General is not seeking re-election after 16-years in the office.

There are eight people considering a run for the Democratic Nomination for Attorney General, including former Governor Pat Quinn. Erika Harold is seeking the Republican nomination for the job.
