Award-winning broadcaster and former NBC news anchor Tamron Hall will headline the Martin Luther King Jr. luncheon in Peoria.

The 26th annual event is hosted by Public Employees for Community Concerns, a group of African-American city employees that advocates for minorities in Peoria.

Tamron Hall has won numerous awards for her reporting, including an Emmy in 2010 for her coverage of former Pres. Barack Obama's inauguration.

She currently currently hosts "Deadline: Crime" on Investigation Discovery channel and is also developing a daytime talk show.

The upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. Day luncheon is Jan. 15th at the Peoria Civic Center.
