The Peoria County Highway Department says it’s possible ongoing-state-funded road projects will be shut down June 30th.

The Illinois Department of Transportation and the Capital Development Board will not have authority to expend funds after the current fiscal year ending June 30 without a state budget.

IDOT says if the General Assembly and Governor fail to pass a budget, the Peoria County Highway Department will be required to shut the Lancaster Road and Trivoli Road Bridge projects.
